LICENSED FOR CIVIL MARRIAGES
If you wish to marry on the premises the Robert Louis Stevenson
room is available at a charge of £160, this has lovely
views of Edinburgh Castle from it’s large floor to ceiling
bay window.
The Honeymoon suite is provided with our compliments on the
night of your wedding when booking a wedding meal and evening
buffet for 45 or more. Alternatively you can return on your
first
Wedding Anniversary for dinner for two in our restaurant.
We can also assist in organising seating plans, flowers, band
or disco, provide place cards and a cake stand as part of our
service.
We have a key for Queen Street Gardens which is a lovely setting
for wedding photographs. The pond in this garden has a small
island in it, where it is said Robert Louis Stevenson (who
lived opposite the gardens), played as a child and later wrote
the classic Treasure Island. There is a fee of £50 payable
to the Trustees of the garden for its use for photography.
The Bride and Groom can take advantage of our roof top vantage
point to have
photos with the Castle in the background.
With the traffic arrangements on Princes Street we have an
arrangement with the police to allow wedding limousines along
Princes Street and to stop outside Over-Seas House.
Please call in, we would be delighted to show you around.
